In a remarkable spiritual and musical event, renowned music director and singer RP Patnaik released his highly anticipated version of the Hanuman Chalisa at the largest Hanuman temple in the United States, located in McKinney, Texas. This milestone event took place under the divine blessings of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, who personally listened to the rendition and praised its ability to connect spiritually with modern audiences, especially the youth.
The Hanuman Chalisa, originally composed by Sri Goswami Tulsidas in the 16th century, was written in the Awadhi language. RP Patnaik’s version, however, brings a modern touch to this sacred text by presenting it in five different languages Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and English enabling a wider, diverse audience to engage with and sing along to the devotional song.
RP Patnaik described the process of composing and singing the Hanuman Chalisa as a “divine journey,” and added that the energy of Hanuman is immeasurable. He expressed his belief that his rendition would offer a powerful spiritual experience to listeners. The release also marked an important step in making the sacred text more accessible to a global audience, with the collaboration of executive producer Raghuram Bolisetti. He emphasized how this version of the Hanuman Chalisa aims to bring spiritual healing through immersive and globally inclusive efforts.
Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, who has been a guiding force behind numerous spiritual initiatives, said that this version of the Hanuman Chalisa would resonate with today’s youth, encouraging them to explore spirituality through music. The event also saw the participation of Sri Prakash Rao, the founder of the Hanuman Temple in McKinney, marking the occasion as a historic one for the temple and its community.
RP Patnaik’s Hanuman Chalisa is now available for all devotees to listen to on his official YouTube channel. The song has already garnered significant attention from the global community and is expected to become a major hit among those seeking spiritual solace through music.
