Salman Khan Prepping for Battle of Galwan: Exclusive Interview on His Role as Colonel B Santosh Babu

Salman, how is your preparation going for Battle of Galwan?
It’s slow. I’m not feeling it yet. But I definitely feel the cold water while shooting in Ladakh. The extreme conditions are tough, but I’ll get there. I know it's going to be worth it.

Can you tell us more about the physical challenges you’re facing for the role?
The physical challenges are immense, especially in Ladakh’s freezing terrain. I’m pushing myself to adapt to the harsh environment by working on strength training, cardio, and preparing my body for the altitude. It’s a tough role, and I’m leaving no stone unturned.

What’s your fitness routine like for this film?
I’ve completely given up alcohol and junk food. I’ve cut down on carbs and eliminated fizzy drinks from my diet. I’m focusing on weight training and cardio to get into shape. Additionally, I’m using a high-pressure chamber to train for high-altitude conditions.

How has shooting in Ladakh been for you so far?
Shooting in Ladakh is challenging. The cold is unbearable at times, and the terrain is tough. But it’s also breathtakingly beautiful. The surroundings are a great source of motivation for the role.

You’ve revealed the first look of your character in Battle of Galwan. Can you tell us about the transformation for this role?
The first look is a sneak peek into my character as Colonel B Santosh Babu. It was important for me to look rugged and battle-worn to reflect the reality of the Galwan Valley clash. It’s a physically demanding role, and I’m working hard to ensure my portrayal is authentic.

What inspired you to take on such a physically demanding role?
The bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the Galwan Valley clash were my primary inspiration. Portraying a real-life hero like Colonel B Santosh Babu is an honor, and I wanted to do justice to his story by giving it my all.

Can you share some behind-the-scenes insights from the shoot?
The most challenging part is dealing with the cold, but the camaraderie on set makes it all worthwhile. We’re all motivated by the significance of the film and the importance of telling this heroic story.

Priyamani Opens Up on Pay Disparity — Exclusive Interview

Many actresses have spoken about pay disparity. What’s your take on it? Priyamani: Yes, it’s true that I’ve often been paid less than my male co-stars. But that doesn’t bother me anymore. I know my market value and what I bring to the table. I will only charge what I believe I deserve, nothing more, nothing less. So, do you see pay as a reflection of market demand? Priyamani: Absolutely. You ask for what you’re worth, and you’ll get it. This is my personal experience rather than a complaint. It’
