Exclusive: Anil Sunkara Calls Nari Nari Naduma Murari A Complete Family Festival Film

There is tough competition during Sankranthi. Was this film planned as a festival release from the beginning?
Yes, we designed Nari Nari Naduma Murari specifically as a Sankranthi film. It is a complete festival movie. Sankranthi is a season that works very well for cinema. Every year, four or five films release during this time, and there have been occasions when all of them turned out to be hits.

What kind of film is Nari Nari Naduma Murari?
It is a full-on entertainer. From beginning to end, the film will keep audiences laughing. We launched the title with Balakrishna garu, and we have only used a few words from the original song, not the entire thing.

Can you share details about the release and distribution?
Dil Raju garu is releasing the film in Nizam and Vizag. We are releasing it ourselves in East Godavari. Raja will handle West Godavari, Krishna, and Guntur, while Shobhan will release it in the Seema region. We are planning a grand Sankranthi release. At this point, no producer can accurately predict the exact number of theatres.

Did you commit to this project during Samajavaragamana itself?
Yes, during Samajavaragamana, I committed to Ram Abbaraju for this film. I also sent him to Mythri for his next project.

What kind of films do you plan to produce going forward?
I have worked extensively with Mahesh Babu garu in the past. Currently, I am producing both small and big films. Discussions are on with Sai Dharam Tej as well. I have decided to focus mainly on entertainment-oriented films rather than experiments.

You are the last to enter the Sankranthi race. Any pressure?
We announced our Sankranthi release two months ago, but many people didn’t believe it. We received many calls questioning it. As promised, we are releasing during Sankranthi. Promotions are not about competition; if the content is good, audiences will support the film.

Apart from Sharwanand, how is Sri Vishnu’s role in the film?
It is a very enjoyable character. We felt Sri Vishnu was perfect for it and approached him. Whenever that character appears, audiences will enjoy thoroughly. The role brings continuous laughter, and the combination scenes are extremely funny. It feels like a common man walking in and entertaining, not a star making a noisy entry.

What about the OTT deal for the film?
For Samajavaragamana, we didn’t finalize any deals before release. Positive word-of-mouth helped the film perform wonders in theatres, and later OTT and satellite deals doubled our returns. This film has been sold to Amazon.

Is it true that you don’t go to sets without a complete script?
Absolutely. If the script is strong, the film will be strong. Everything must be clear at the script level. I review the script once after the first half and again before the final schedule. If the film follows the script properly, the result will be good.

Can you tell us about your upcoming projects?
I am planning films with Sai Dharam Tej and Teja Sajja. Goodachari 2 with Adivi Sesh is coming up. I want to continue making entertaining films, including a comedy entertainer titled Air Force Bejawada Batch.

All the best
Thank you

Exclusive Interview: Karthi’s Annagaru Postponed After Court Blocks Film Release

Why was Karthi’s Annagaru (Va Vathiyar) postponed at the last minute? Until the debt is fully repaid, the film cannot release in theaters or on any platform. How much money does the producer owe the financier? Studio Green initially borrowed Rs. 10.35 crore in 2014. Priyamani Opens Up on Pay Disparity — Exclusive Interview

Many actresses have spoken about pay disparity. What’s your take on it? Priyamani: Yes, it’s true that I’ve often been paid less than my male co-stars. But that doesn’t bother me anymore. Priyamani: Absolutely. You ask for what you’re worth, and you’ll get it. This is my personal experience rather than a complaint. It’
