Rajamouli is going places that no Indian film director ever did in the past. He is running a successful Oscars campaign for RRR in the West and he is in turn left with a very good chance of attaining the same. The magnanimous response RRR is getting from western folk clearly suggests the same. 

Now, young actor Adivi Sesh who is well versed with western award accreditation and related methodology has weighed in on Rajamouli’s chances at the Oscars. 

“Did I just hear that @ssrajamouli sir won the New York Film Critics Award? Someone told me 16 out of last 22 times, the winner went on to win Best Director at the Oscars What a man. What a journey. He truly is the Pride of our Nation #RRRMovie” Sesh tweeted a short while ago. 

Rajamouli had won the New York Critics Award for best director for his latest feature RRR. Going by the statement made by Sesh, 16 of the 22 filmmakers who won this award later went on to win the Oscars. If the match works out, Rajamouli stands with a very good chance of winning the Oscars this time around which should be an astonishing feat in itself.
