The Telugu Film Directors Association has announced plans for an extravagant celebration of Director's Day on May 4, coinciding with the birth anniversary of renowned director Dasari Narayana Rao. The event, which will take place at Hyderabad's iconic LB Stadium, promises to be a star-studded affair, with participation from esteemed directors and industry members alike.

During a curtain-raiser program held recently, details of the event were unveiled, including the official website and logo of the Director's Day celebration. Notably, Rebel Star Prabhas made a generous contribution of Rs 35 lakh to the directors' association welfare fund, further amplifying the anticipation surrounding the event.

President of the Telugu Film Directors Association, Veerashankar, expressed his enthusiasm for the grand festivities, envisioning Director's Day to attain the same level of recognition as other celebrated occasions like Mother's Day and Father's Day.  He said, "Director's Day is going to be organized grandly under the auspices of Telugu Film Directors Association on May 4 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of director Dasari Narayana Rao. Director's Day should get as much fame as Mother's Day and Father's Day. Telugu Directors Association has a good reputation in the film industry all over the country. So far we have kept the director's day in small indoors. This time we are going to organize it grandly at LB Stadium. Directors like Harish Shankar, Maruthi, Anil Ravipudi are actively participating in our association program even though they are busy. We all work hard for this event because we all feel that the association is our family. I wish everyone from the film industry to participate in the celebrations of the Director's Day and make it a success."
