Telugu cinema is gearing up for a grand cinematic celebration as the much-awaited film Thammudu, featuring youth star Nithiin in the lead, has been officially announced for a worldwide theatrical release on July 4, 2025. Directed by Sriram Venu and produced by Dilraju and Shirish under the prestigious Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, Thammudu promises to be a heartwarming entertainer packed with family emotions and youthful energy. Known for delivering hits like MCA and Vakeel Saab, director Sriram Venu joins hands with Nithiin, who is reuniting with Sri Venkateswara Creations after notable films like Dil and Srinivasa Kalyanam. The collaboration of this proven team has already stirred excitement among fans and the film industry alike.

On the occasion of director Sriram Venu’s birthday, the makers released a creatively crafted and humorous announcement video that not only entertained the audience but also revealed the film’s release date. The video features cast members from the film Swasika Vijayan, Varsha Bollamma, Sapthami Gowda, Laya, and child artist Baby Sriram Deetya who visit the director on his birthday. While he assumes they are there to wish him, the actors instead bombard him with playful demands and questions about the film’s release and promotional plans. Veteran actress Laya, who is making a much-anticipated comeback to Tollywood with Thammudu, jokingly complains in the video about her poster not being revealed yet. Amid the light-hearted chaos, director Sriram Venu attempts to dodge the questions but finally gets joined by producers Dilraju and Shirish. The trio then cuts a birthday cake, officially announcing the film’s worldwide release on July 4, 2025.

The cast of Thammudu includes a strong lineup of talented performers. Apart from Nithiin, the film features Sapthami Gowda, known for her standout performance in Kantara, making her Telugu debut. Varsha Bollamma and Swasika also play pivotal roles, bringing diversity and depth to the narrative. The inclusion of Laya adds a nostalgic value, especially for longtime Telugu moviegoers. With production values expected to be top-notch, the film is being shaped as a family entertainer that aims to capture the festive spirit of the mid-year holiday season. Director Sriram Venu has reportedly locked the script and is currently finalizing locations and casting for supporting roles. The film’s shoot is expected to commence very soon.

The music for Thammudu is being composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, whose previous work in Kantara and Virupaksha received wide acclaim. The technical team also includes seasoned professionals like cinematographer K.V. Guhan and editor Prawin Pudi, promising a quality cinematic experience. Given the impressive combination of Nithiin, Sriram Venu, and the powerhouse production house Sri Venkateswara Creations, expectations are sky-high for Thammudu. The innovative marketing approach with the announcement video has already drawn attention online, indicating the makers' commitment to delivering a fresh and entertaining experience for movie lovers. As the countdown begins to the July 4 release, fans eagerly await more updates, including teaser releases, first-look posters, and trailers. With a compelling storyline, talented cast, and a well-regarded director at the helm, Thammudu is poised to be a strong contender at the 2025 box office.
