Pooja Hegde Makes Telugu Comeback With Dulquer Salmaan’s DQ41 After Series Of Flops
Pooja Hegde, once among Tollywood’s busiest heroines, is set for a grand comeback after more than three years away from Telugu screens. She will be seen opposite Dulquer Salmaan in his upcoming film, tentatively titled DQ41, directed by Ravi Nelakuditi and produced by SLV Cinemas.
Known for her glamorous and high-energy roles, Pooja is now taking a different route in DQ41 with a simple, girl-next-door look. The makers hope this refreshing change will strike a chord with audiences.
Pooja’s journey in Telugu cinema started with Oka Laila Kosam and Mukunda, but her breakthrough came with DJ, followed by blockbusters like Maharshi, Aravinda Sametha and Ala Vaikunthapurramulo. These films established her as a star heroine with massive popularity.
However, her career slowed down after a string of flops such as Most Eligible Bachelor, Radhe Shyam, Acharya, and Bollywood projects like Cirkus and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Critics questioned her film choices, and some even speculated that she might not get major offers again.
But now, with DQ41 and another film, Jana Nayagan, expectations are high for Pooja to reclaim her place in the spotlight. Fans believe her pairing with Dulquer Salmaan, along with strong content, could reignite her career and bring her back into the league of top heroines in Telugu cinema.
