Anushka Shetty Says Goodbye To Social Media For Now, Fans React Strongly

Actress Anushka Shetty has announced that she will be taking a break from social media, a move that comes shortly after the disappointing performance of her latest film Ghaati, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. The film, which was expected to mark her strong comeback, failed to impress at the box office and faced criticism from audiences as well as reviewers.

Though Anushka had promoted the movie before release through telephonic interviews, she refrained from heavy public appearances and has not openly addressed the backlash. In her latest Instagram post, she explained her decision to step away from the digital world. “Trading Blue light to candle light. Will be stepping away from social media for a bit. Just to reconnect with the world and work beyond the scrolling, to where we actually started,” she wrote.

Anushka also reassured fans that this is not a goodbye but just a pause. “See you all soon with more stories and more love,” she added, signaling that she plans to return refreshed. While her absence from promotions was noted, Anushka has maintained a reputation for not letting online criticism affect her deeply.

The actress has not signed any new Telugu projects. However, she is confirmed to appear next in Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer, a film that has already built curiosity. Fans are hopeful that this new project will give her the much-needed comeback and that her time away from social media will allow her to focus on work and rejuvenation.
