North India OG Premieres Surprise Trade With Record Ticket Sales

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s latest film OG has taken everyone by surprise with its North India premiere performance. While the movie had paid premieres across the Telugu states, selective screenings were also planned in key North Indian locations, and the strategy turned out to be a profitable one. The North distributors managed to generate nearly 30 Lakh rupees from these limited premieres, an astonishing figure given the relatively smaller fanbase of Pawan Kalyan in the region.

Advance bookings opened on Wednesday evening, and the response was nothing short of spectacular. Multiplex chain Movie Max alone sold around 6500 tickets in record time, with occupancy levels reaching an impressive 85 percent. For Pawan Kalyan, who faced disappointment with his last film Hari Hara Veera Mallu, this strong opening has reignited trade confidence and delighted fans.

Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya, OG is set against the vibrant backdrop of Mumbai, offering both mass action and stylish storytelling. With such a promising start in an unexpected territory, the film is poised to deliver strong numbers in its full-fledged North India run. The premiere success has not only boosted the film’s buzz but also signaled that Pawan Kalyan’s appeal is expanding beyond traditional markets, making OG one of the most talked-about releases of 2025.
