Akshaye Khanna’s Fierce Shukracharya Look Unveiled in Prasanth Varma’s MAHAKALI
The Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe continues its expansion after the blockbuster success of HanuMan, with its next big venture titled Mahakali. Backed by RKD Studios and presented by RK Duggal, the film marks the directorial debut of Puja Aparna Kolluru. The first look introduces Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna in his Telugu debut, portraying the legendary figure Shukracharya.
The poster reveals Khanna standing before colossal stone fortresses with fire-lit altars burning under a stormy sky. His lean frame, silver beard, spiritual attire, and piercing eyes project an aura of wisdom and intensity, indicating the immense power of his character. The transformation has already created a wave of curiosity among fans and cinephiles.
In Hindu lore, Shukracharya is considered one of the most complex and powerful sages. Choosing this role for his Telugu debut, Akshaye Khanna turned down multiple offers after the success of Chhava, deeply inspired by the narrative and character depth.
Mahakali boasts a strong technical crew with Smaran Sai composing the music and Suresh Ragutu handling cinematography. Shooting is moving at a brisk pace, with completion targeted by December. With its ambitious vision and grand presentation, Mahakali is shaping up to be a milestone in Indian cinema.
