Mahesh Babu’s Lord Ram Look from Varanasi Goes Viral After Theatre Hoarding Sparks Buzz

A digital theatre hoarding featuring Mahesh Babu as Lord Ram from SS Rajamouli’s ambitious film Varanasi has taken social media by storm. The poster, displayed at Mythri Cinemas in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, shows the actor in a divine avatar holding a bow and gazing toward the sea. The image carries the words Mahesh Babu as Sri Ram, sparking massive excitement among fans. While the makers have not officially unveiled this look, the viral hoarding has intensified curiosity around the film’s epic scale and mythological elements.

Rajamouli had earlier confirmed that Mahesh Babu would portray Lord Ram in a key Ramayana episode shot over 60 days. The director revealed that seeing Mahesh in full costume during the first photoshoot gave him goosebumps. According to Rajamouli, Mahesh possesses the charm of Krishna and the calmness of Rama, making him ideal for the role. The actor reportedly underwent intense preparation to perfect his posture, body language, and expressions. He also trained in Kalari, the ancient martial art form from Kerala, for three months to bring authenticity to his portrayal.

Varanasi is described as a globetrotting adventure spanning multiple timelines and continents. Alongside Mahesh Babu, the film stars Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in pivotal roles. With Rajamouli at the helm and a mythological layer woven into a larger cinematic universe, the film is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated pan-India releases. Varanasi is scheduled to hit theatres on April 7, 2027, and the viral Lord Ram poster has only heightened expectations among audiences nationwide.
