South Indian actress Sai Pallavi, known for her remarkable performances, is making her Bollywood debut with Ek Din. Sai Pallavi first made a huge impact with her debut film Premam in 2015, where she played the role of a teacher whose love story ends in heartbreak after an accident leaves her with amnesia. Ek Din follows a similar theme, with Pallavi portraying a woman suffering from "transient global amnesia," a condition that causes her to forget everything for a day and then regain her memories the following day. Junaid Khan plays her love interest, who, despite this challenging condition, remains by her side, helping her navigate the emotional turmoil.
The story takes us through the journey of Junaid’s character, an introverted tech geek working in a corporate company, who secretly admires Pallavi’s character. While on vacation in Japan, Junaid learns that Pallavi is dating their boss, played by Kunal Kapoor. After a tragic accident, Pallavi’s memory loss is revealed, leading Junaid to step up as her emotional support.
