Ram Charan Wraps Up Peddi Shoot; Cinematographer Shares BTS Pics, Film Delayed

Ram Charan has officially completed shooting for his upcoming sports drama Peddi, with cinematographer Rathnavelu announcing the wrap-up on social media. Rathnavelu took to X to share his heartfelt message, calling the film a "memorable journey" and expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside Ram Charan. Rathnavelu described the actor as not just a "powerhouse performer" on screen but also a "wonderful friend" off it. He thanked Ram Charan for the memories they created together during the shoot, which was clearly an emotional experience for the team.

Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers, was initially slated for a June 25, 2026, release. However, the makers have decided to delay the release to allow more time for post-production work, ensuring the film achieves "absolute perfection." The revised release date has yet to be announced.

The production company, Vriddhi Cinemas, took to Instagram to update fans on the film's status. They expressed their gratitude for the positive response to the songs and glimpses released so far. The company confirmed that the "talkie" portion of the film was completed and that only one song remained to be shot. The producers have previewed the film's edit and are pleased with the results, but they are opting to take additional time to perfect the technical aspects of the movie in post-production.

Peddi also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Jagapathi Babu in key roles, with Ram Charan playing a wrestler in the movie. A recently released poster, titled Peddi Pehelwan, showed Charan in his wrestler avatar, which quickly gained attention from fans. The film also features a special song with Ram Charan and Shruti Haasan, filmed in Hyderabad.

The film’s delay for post-production work signals that the creators are focused on refining the technical elements to ensure the final product is of the highest quality. While the delay is disappointing for eager fans, it suggests that the makers are dedicated to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience. As of now, there is no confirmed new release date for Peddi, but fans are eagerly awaiting further updates.
