New casting reports claim Katrina Kaif is being considered for an important role in Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit, though no confirmation has been issued.

Casting Buzz Links Katrina Kaif to Spirit

Prabhas’ upcoming action drama Spirit has returned to the spotlight following reports that Katrina Kaif is being considered for an important character in the film.

The speculation suggests that the actress may have been approached for a substantial supporting role rather than the female lead. However, neither director Sandeep Reddy Vanga nor the production houses have announced Katrina as part of the cast.

The report should therefore be treated as industry buzz until the makers issue an official statement. If the casting materialises, Spirit would mark the first on-screen collaboration between Prabhas and Katrina Kaif.

The possibility of adding another major Hindi cinema star has generated interest because Spirit is being planned as a multilingual, large-scale theatrical release targeting audiences across India.

Triptii Dimri Remains Confirmed Female Lead

Triptii Dimri is the officially announced female lead opposite Prabhas. She appeared alongside him in the film’s first-look poster, confirming her central position in the story.

Katrina’s rumoured character is reportedly separate from Triptii’s role. No information has been released about the character’s identity, relationship with Prabhas or importance to the central conflict.

Spirit reunites Triptii with Sandeep Reddy Vanga after Animal. Her casting was confirmed after earlier speculation surrounding the project’s female lead, and the makers have since used her prominently in the official promotional campaign.

Production Update Says 40% Shoot Is Complete

Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently revealed that approximately 40 percent of Spirit’s filming has been completed. His statement provided the clearest production update since shooting began and indicated that work is progressing towards the announced release schedule.

Prabhas plays an intense police officer in the action drama. Available official information describes his character as a serious and aggressive cop who becomes involved in a conflict connected with organised crime.

The film is directed and written by Vanga and backed by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. Its combination of Prabhas’ mass-action image and Vanga’s intense filmmaking style has made it one of the most closely followed Indian films currently in production.

March 2027 Release Keeps Expectations High

Spirit is officially scheduled to reach theatres worldwide on March 5, 2027. The date was announced by the makers earlier this year, and recent production updates suggest that the team remains focused on meeting the planned release.

With 40 percent of filming reportedly complete, attention will now turn to additional casting announcements, character posters and the first major video glimpse.

Katrina Kaif’s reported involvement could add further star power to the project, but her participation remains unconfirmed. Until an announcement arrives from the filmmakers, Triptii Dimri remains the confirmed female lead alongside Prabhas.
