Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh: Vishwak Sen’s political action drama Legacy has entered its final schedule ahead of a worldwide December release.
Vishwak Sen’s Legacy enters final stage of production
Vishwak Sen’s upcoming political action drama Legacy has moved into its final stage of filming, bringing the ambitious project closer to completion. The movie is written and directed by Saikiran Reddy Daida and produced by Yeshwanth Daggumati and Saikiran under the Kalaahi Media banner.
Sanjay Sambrani and V.V.N. Prasad are serving as co-producers. Legacy is Kalaahi Media’s second production after the critically appreciated horror drama Pindam, which was also directed by Saikiran Reddy Daida.
The announcement teaser released earlier in 2026 created interest by presenting Vishwak Sen in a powerful and intense setting. The actor, popularly known as Mass Ka Das, is expected to appear in a noticeably different role that combines emotional conflict with high-energy action.
Mounted on a large scale, the film is being positioned as a theatrical political drama driven by family tensions, dangerous rivalries and the burden of inherited power. The makers have confirmed that Legacy is being prepared for a worldwide theatrical release in December 2026, although the exact date is yet to be announced.
Legacy explores power, family, love and betrayal
Legacy follows a reluctant heir who is pulled into a dangerous political world he never wanted to enter. As hidden truths begin to surface and powerful enemies move against him, the central character must confront the consequences of his father’s past.
The story brings together themes of power, family, love, betrayal and personal responsibility. At the heart of the narrative is a difficult question: Should a person protect the legacy inherited from an earlier generation, or challenge it and create a different path?
Vishwak Sen is expected to deliver an intense and layered performance as the conflicted heir. His character’s emotional journey will unfold alongside political confrontations and action sequences designed for a large-screen experience.
Kay Kay Menon plays the film’s formidable antagonist. Known for his commanding screen presence and controlled performances, the actor is expected to bring additional depth to the confrontation at the centre of the story. The face-off between Vishwak Sen and Kay Kay Menon could emerge as one of the movie’s biggest attractions.
Legacy final schedule begins in Madanapalle
The production team has started a month-long shooting schedule in and around Madanapalle in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The principal cast will participate in this phase, which is expected to complete the film’s remaining major portions.
According to the production update, the schedule will include crucial narrative scenes, songs and high-intensity action episodes. The Madanapalle locations are also expected to strengthen the film’s political atmosphere and provide a visually distinctive setting.
Cinematographer Jiju Sunny is handling the film’s visuals, while Govind Vasantha is composing the music. Sirish Prasad is overseeing the editing, and Rajeev Nair is serving as production designer. Jashuva is choreographing the action sequences.
Sync Cinema is handling the sound design, while E. Radhakrishna is supervising the Dolby Atmos work at Prasad Mixing Theatre. The experienced technical team is expected to give the movie a polished combination of dramatic visuals, strong music and immersive action.
Legacy ensemble cast adds strength to political drama
Legacy features a large supporting cast alongside Vishwak Sen and Kay Kay Menon. Murali Mohan, Rao Ramesh, Sachin Khedekar, Ekta Rathod, Raja Ravindra, Rajeev Kanakala and Aneesh Kuruvilla will appear in important roles.
The cast also includes Khushee Ravi, Kalyani Natarajan, Collector Srinivas, Ravi Kaale and Amit Tiwari, among others. The presence of several experienced performers indicates that the supporting characters will play a significant role in the film’s political and family conflicts.
With its final schedule underway, Legacy is now approaching the last phase of production. The combination of Vishwak Sen’s new avatar, Kay Kay Menon’s antagonist role, an experienced ensemble and a power-driven story has increased expectations surrounding the film.
The makers are promising gripping political drama, emotional confrontations, striking music and explosive action. More promotional material and the final theatrical release date are expected to be announced as the team completes filming and begins its post-production campaign.
