The project was placed on hold after Indian 2 received an underwhelming response from audiences and critics. That setback created uncertainty over whether the third chapter would be completed and released. The latest industry buzz, however, indicates that the makers may now be considering restarting the remaining work.

Indian 3 Shooting Reportedly Nears Completion

If the revival moves forward, Shankar is expected to remain in charge as director. The project could also become an important release for the filmmaker following the mixed response to his recent films, including Game Changer. The third instalment is expected to continue unresolved narrative threads and expand Senapathy’s story.
