Rajinikanth Autobiography May Release in Tamil and English

Rajinikanth’s autobiography is in progress and could initially be published in Tamil and English, according to an update shared by lyricist and writer Vairamuthu. Recounting a recent conversation with the actor, Vairamuthu said he asked when the book would be released. Rajinikanth responded that work was underway and indicated it would be available soon. While the exchange offers an update on the project, no publication date, book title or publisher was identified in the account.

Vairamuthu Meeting Focuses on Art and Life

Vairamuthu shared details of the meeting on his X account, explaining that he visited Rajinikanth to convey his wishes ahead of Jailer 2’s theatrical release. Their conversation covered art and life, and the lyricist specifically stated that they did not discuss politics. The autobiography became part of that exchange when Vairamuthu expressed his interest in reading the actor’s personal account. He explained that Rajinikanth’s appeal extends beyond his life history to the charisma that has shaped his public identity.

Tamil and English Editions Remain a Possibility

According to Vairamuthu, Rajinikanth hinted that the autobiography might first appear in Tamil and English. Such a release could make the book accessible to readers across different audiences, although the language plans have not been presented as a final publishing announcement. Details about the book’s scope, format and contents also remain undisclosed. An autobiography would give Rajinikanth an opportunity to tell his story in his own words, but readers will need to await further information about the experiences and periods it will cover.

Jailer 2 Release Adds to Rajinikanth Updates

The autobiography news comes as Jailer 2 prepares for its October 15, 2026 release. The source article places the Telugu theatrical rights value at more than Rs 50 crore and says advance bookings are underway. Following the success of Jailer, the sequel carries strong opening expectations, although its eventual collections will depend on ticket sales and audience response. For fans, the film and the potential autobiography offer two different ways to engage with Rajinikanth’s work: his latest screen appearance and a future personal account of his life.
