Overview
Daksha – The Deadly Conspiracy is a medical crime investigation thriller with familiar elements like human trials, revenge, and corporate cover-ups. Though backed by strong performers like Lakshmi Manchu and Mohan Babu, the screenplay fails to engage fully, leaving the film less impactful than expected.
Performances
- Lakshmi Manchu shines with a stylish attitude as CI Daksha, delivering a neat performance with grace and ease.
- Mohan Babu brings gravitas and experience to his role, especially in face-off and climax sequences.
- Chitra Shukla does justice to her character Mythili.
- Viswant Duddumpudi impresses as the young actor in key sequences.
- Supporting roles by Samudrakani and Siddique are effective.
- Director Vamsi Krishna Malla also appears in a small but crucial role.
Technical Aspects
- Cinematography (Gokul Bharathi): Decent visuals, effective setup for the thriller backdrop.
- Music (Achchu Rajamani): Background score is passable, but nothing memorable.
- Editing (Madhu Reddy): Weak; many scenes feel stretched or rushed, making the narrative clumsy.
- Production Values: Adequate for the story, though certain sequences could have been polished better.
Positives
- Lakshmi Manchu’s stylish screen presence.
- Mohan Babu’s versatile acting.
- A couple of twists involving both lead characters.
- Some emotional moments in the second half.
Negatives
- Routine storyline with predictable medical-crime tropes.
- Flat and slow-paced first half.
- Unnecessary and illogical scenes dilute the narrative.
- Missed opportunities to create gripping suspense.
- Several rushed moments in the second half, leaving gaps.
- Weak climax, which would have been better without the ending song.
Analysis
“Daksha – The Deadly Conspiracy” had the potential to be an engaging thriller but falters due to uninspired writing and execution. Despite solid performances and a few twists, the film struggles with pacing, logical loopholes, and lack of freshness in its theme. A tighter screenplay and focus on suspense could have made it a more compelling watch.
