JEE Advanced 2026 Result: Shubham Kumar Tops With AIR 1

JEE Advanced 2026 result has been declared today, June 1, 2026, and Shubham Kumar from the IIT Delhi zone has secured All India Rank 1 in the Common Rank List. He scored 330 out of 360 marks, making him the top performer in one of India’s most competitive engineering entrance exams.

This year, 1,79,694 candidates appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced 2026, which was held on May 17. Out of them, 56,880 candidates qualified for admission to IITs and other participating institutes. Among the qualified candidates, 10,107 are female candidates.

The IIT Delhi zone showed a strong performance in the top ranks. Shubham Kumar secured AIR 1 with 330 marks, Kabeer Chhillar secured AIR 2 with 329 marks, and Jatin Chahar secured AIR 3 with 319 marks. All three top rankers belong to the IIT Delhi zone, making it one of the strongest-performing zones in JEE Advanced 2026.

Arohi Deshpande emerged as the highest-ranked female candidate in JEE Advanced 2026. She secured CRL 77 with 280 out of 360 marks. Her performance stands out among female candidates and adds to the IIT Delhi zone’s strong result this year.

Candidates who have qualified in JEE Advanced 2026 can now move to the JoSAA 2026 counselling process. Through JoSAA counselling, students will be able to fill choices for IITs and other participating engineering institutes. However, qualifying in JEE Advanced does not automatically guarantee admission. Final seat allotment will depend on eligibility rules, category, seat availability, candidate preferences and other conditions mentioned in the official JEE Advanced information brochure.

Students should now download their scorecards, check their ranks carefully and start preparing their institute and branch preferences before JoSAA counselling begins. Popular branches such as computer science, artificial intelligence, electronics, mathematics and computing, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering are expected to see strong competition.

The JEE Advanced 2026 result declared today is an important milestone for thousands of engineering aspirants across India. With more than 56,000 candidates qualifying, the next major step is counselling, where students will compete for seats across IITs and other top technical institutions.
