Pleasanton Launches FlashVote Survey Tool for Residents

The City of Pleasanton has officially launched FlashVote, an online community survey tool designed to gather quick, confidential feedback from residents on important local topics. The initiative aims to make it easier for citizens to contribute to city decisions, shaping policies that align with public needs.

FlashVote allows Pleasanton residents to participate in brief surveys that typically take just one minute to complete. Each survey remains open for 48 hours and can be answered via email, text, or phone. After participating, residents receive a summary showing how their responses compare with others in the community.

City officials say that the information collected through FlashVote will directly support better decision-making by offering real-time insight into public priorities. Pleasanton Communications Manager Heather Tiernan emphasized the importance of community input, stating, “We’re excited to use the feedback collected through FlashVote to inform our work and ensure we’re understanding the needs of Pleasanton residents.”

Sign-ups for the survey tool are quick less than a minute and FlashVote does not share personal or demographic data with the city or any third parties. All feedback remains anonymous, ensuring user privacy and encouraging honest participation. This new tool is part of a broader effort by Pleasanton to foster transparency and community engagement. In an age where digital communication is essential, FlashVote provides a modern and efficient way for local governments to stay in touch with the people they serve.

With this launch, Pleasanton joins a growing number of cities using real-time feedback to guide civic planning, budgeting, service improvements, and policy changes. By empowering residents with a voice in local governance, FlashVote represents a smart step forward in building a more responsive and connected community.
