Assam Exit Poll 2026 NDA Set For Hat Trick With 88 To 100 Seats

Exit poll predicts NDA sweeping Assam with 88 to 100 seats in Assembly elections. BJP-led alliance likely to secure third consecutive term with strong vote share lead.

The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance is poised for a decisive victory in the Assam Assembly elections, according to the latest exit poll by Axis My India. The projection suggests the alliance could win between 88 and 100 seats in the 126-member Assembly, comfortably crossing the majority mark and setting the stage for a third consecutive term in power.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is expected to continue leading the government if these projections hold true. The strong numbers indicate sustained support for the ruling alliance across the state, reflecting both organizational strength and voter confidence in its governance.

In terms of vote share, the NDA is projected to secure around 48 percent, significantly ahead of the Congress-led alliance, which is estimated at 38 percent. Other parties are expected to account for the remaining 14 percent of the vote share. This gap highlights a clear lead for the ruling alliance in the electoral race.

The Congress is projected to win between 24 and 36 seats, placing it far behind the NDA in the contest. While exit polls provide an early indication of voter sentiment, the final results will only be confirmed after official counting. However, current trends strongly suggest a comfortable mandate for the NDA in Assam, reinforcing its dominance in the state’s political landscape.
