Ukraine Drone Attacks Kill 4 in Russia's Belgorod Region

Drone attacks in Russia's Belgorod region killed four people and injured 14 others on Sunday, October 25, 2026, according to Russian officials. The strikes damaged apartment buildings, vehicles and commercial properties in the border city of Belgorod. A separate drone attack also damaged an industrial facility in the Perm region, injuring five workers.

Belgorod Drone Attack Casualties Rise

Belgorod authorities initially reported two deaths and 13 injuries following overnight drone strikes on the city. The death toll later increased to three after an injured man died in hospital.

Mayor Valentin Demidov confirmed the additional death through the state-backed MAX messaging platform. Emergency responders continued inspecting damaged buildings and assisting residents affected by the strikes.

Russian officials attributed the attacks to Ukrainian drones. The reported casualties reflect the latest figures released by local authorities.

Russian Border City Infrastructure Damage

Belgorod regional governor Alexander Shuvayev reported extensive damage across the city following the overnight attack.

According to his statement, 30 apartment buildings, 35 vehicles and four private houses suffered damage. Three administrative buildings, eight commercial premises and three social facilities were also affected.

The destruction highlighted the impact of drone warfare on civilian infrastructure in Russian regions close to the Ukrainian border.

Perm Industrial Facility Drone Strike

A separate drone attack struck an industrial facility in Russia's Perm region, located near the Ural Mountains.

Regional governor Dmitry Makhonin confirmed that five employees sustained injuries and received medical assistance. Emergency teams responded to the site to assess the damage.

Authorities did not immediately identify the facility or disclose the full extent of the destruction. Makhonin also did not specify who was responsible for the attack.

Separate Drone Attack Near Shebekino

Another deadly incident occurred in Voznesenovka, a village near the town of Shebekino in the Belgorod region.

Local authorities said a drone struck a vehicle, killing one person and injuring another. Combined with the revised Belgorod city casualties, the two attacks left four people dead and 14 injured.

Officials did not provide additional details about the victims or circumstances surrounding the vehicle strike.

Russia Ukraine Cross Border Drone Warfare

The attacks underline the continuing threat of drone warfare as the Russia-Ukraine conflict extends beyond frontline positions.

Belgorod has experienced repeated drone and missile attacks because of its proximity to Ukraine. Industrial facilities deeper inside Russia have also faced threats from long-range drones.

Both countries continue using unmanned aerial systems as part of their military operations, raising concerns about civilian safety and damage to essential infrastructure.

The latest incidents demonstrate the growing geographical reach of the conflict, with residential neighborhoods and industrial sites increasingly exposed to attacks.
