Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Pawan Kalyan at his Jubilee Hills residence in Hyderabad on Saturday, May 10, following the actor-politician’s recent surgery and ongoing recovery.

The visit quickly gained national attention after both leaders shared messages describing the meeting as personal and emotional. Modi said he met Kalyan and his family to wish him a speedy recovery and good health.

A Personal Gesture Beyond Politics

Pawan Kalyan later said the Prime Minister’s visit reflected “warmth, compassion, and encouragement” during a difficult period for his family. He welcomed Modi along with his wife Anna Konidela and their children at the Hyderabad residence.

According to Kalyan, Modi had also called him on Saturday, April 19, soon after the surgery, to check on his health and offer support. The Jana Sena chief said the Prime Minister’s continued concern would remain memorable for his family.

Why the Meeting Matters

The meeting comes as Pawan Kalyan continues to play a major role in Andhra Pradesh politics as Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party leader. Political observers say the visit also highlighted the strong personal and political rapport between Modi and Kalyan ahead of key political developments in the state.

Kalyan, who recently faced a health scare, is currently recovering well, according to family updates shared on social media. Officials close to the Jana Sena leader said he is expected to gradually resume public engagements after recovery.


The Jana Sena leader is currently recovering after surgery and has recently received visits from several political leaders, including Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who earlier met him in Hyderabad following the procedure.

 

The Hyderabad visit also reinforced Modi’s image of maintaining close personal ties with political allies despite his demanding national schedule.
