Actor and producer Ajay Devgn recently met with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in New Delhi to explore possibilities in the state’s growing film and media landscape. During the meeting, Devgn shared his vision of establishing a state-of-the-art film studio in Telangana that would serve as a key center for animation, VFX, and AI-integrated filmmaking technologies. The studio is expected to be among the most advanced of its kind in India.
Revanth Reddy welcomed the initiative and highlighted Telangana’s strategic focus on infrastructure, innovation, and skill development. He emphasized that the state is actively encouraging investments across diverse sectors, including entertainment and media, which aligns perfectly with Devgn’s proposal.
World-Class Film Infrastructure Vision
Ajay Devgn’s plan includes not just a production studio, but also a skill development institute aimed at nurturing local talent in filmmaking, editing, animation, and related disciplines. He cited Telangana’s rapidly evolving ecosystem and Hyderabad’s existing prominence in the film industry as strong reasons for selecting the state for this ambitious project. The actor requested the government’s support in providing the necessary clearances and assistance to make the project a reality.
Devgn assured the Chief Minister that he would personally contribute to positioning Telangana as an investment-friendly destination for the entertainment industry. He expressed confidence that the proposed studio would attract global attention and elevate the region’s status as a prime location for film production.
The meeting was also attended by Ajit Reddy, Special Secretary to the CM, and Dr. Gaurav Uppal, Secretary for Coordination of Central Schemes. With Hyderabad already serving as a major hub for South Indian and Bollywood film productions, this new initiative by Ajay Devgn could further boost Telangana’s profile as a national leader in cinema and media infrastructure.
