Hyderabad hit its highest temperature of the year on 22 May 2026, with Karwan recording 43.4°C and Amberpet 43°C. Most areas of the city remained above 42°C throughout the day. Across Telangana, several districts recorded temperatures above 46°C. The hottest areas included Mutharam in Peddapalli and Mungala in Suryapet at 46.5°C. Other high-temperature districts include Bhadradri Kothagudem, Hanamkonda, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpalli, Karimnagar, Khammam, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, and Mancherial.
