An Indian student from Telangana pursuing higher education in the United States has died under suspicious circumstances, triggering concern among the Indian diaspora and student communities. The deceased has been identified as Pawan Kumar Reddy, a native of Melladuppalapalli village in Nalgonda district. The incident reportedly occurred late at night while he was having dinner with his friends.
According to preliminary details, Pawan suddenly fell seriously ill during the meal. Alarmed by his condition, his friends rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment. The sudden nature of the incident has raised several questions, with authorities yet to determine the exact cause of death.
Soon after news of the incident emerged, social media platforms were flooded with claims suggesting that food poisoning may have caused Pawan’s death. However, these claims remain unverified. So far, neither US law enforcement agencies nor the medical department have officially confirmed food poisoning as the cause.
