Robinhood Latest Telugu Movie: Nithiin and Sreeleela Talk Fun, Comedy, and Twists in New Interview
Can you tell us about your character in Robinhood?
Sreeleela: I play Neera Vasudev, a girl who returns to India from abroad. She’s cute, bubbly, and lives in her own world. I think audiences will connect with her instantly.
There was buzz that Rashmika was first considered for this role. How did you come onboard?
Sreeleela: Yes, it’s true. Rashmika loved the role but couldn’t adjust her dates. Venky sir approached me during my break, and I instantly connected with the character. Rashmika even wished me luck when we met on the Pushpa set.
How was it working with Nithiin again?
Sreeleela: Very comfortable! This is our second film together. He’s calm, supportive, and a complete team player. We share great onscreen chemistry.
What makes Robinhood different from your previous films?
Sreeleela: It’s the funniest film I’ve done so far! A total fun ride from start to end. But it also has strong emotional moments which make it complete.
What can audiences expect from your role in this film?
Nithiin: I play a highly intellectual, manipulative character. He’s smart and uses his brain more than brawn. The twists in the climax will be completely fresh for viewers.
Is Robinhood just a comedy or is there more depth to it?
Nithiin: While the film is loaded with humor and entertainment, the emotional sequences are very powerful. We intentionally didn’t reveal those in the promos to keep it as a surprise.
Tell us about working with Rajendra Prasad and Vennela Kishore.
Sreeleela: Shooting with them was a laugh riot! Especially scenes with Vennela Kishore — they were hilarious. Rajendra Prasad garu brings unmatched charm to every frame.
What was it like getting David Warner on board for a cameo?
Venky Kudumula: We wanted an international star for a special role. Warner loved the narration and agreed. His cameo is magical and best experienced on the big screen.
Why was there a year-long gap in your career, Sreeleela?
Sreeleela: I was in my final year of studies and had back-to-back releases last year. I planned a break to focus on education but missed some good projects. Now I’m back!
Any plans of shifting to Bollywood?
Sreeleela: Telugu industry is my home. Shifting to Bollywood isn’t even a thought. I’ll continue to work here as long as people support me.
Any upcoming projects after Robinhood?
Sreeleela: Yes! Parashakti, Mass Jathara with Ravi Teja garu, a Kannada-Telugu bilingual, and a few unannounced projects are in the pipeline.
