Exclusive Interview: Ketika Sharma Talks #Single and Her Role as Poorva

Exclusive Interview: Ketika Sharma Talks #Single and Her Role as Poorva

How did you get the opportunity to be part of #Single?
Working with Geetha Arts was always a dream. When I got the call for this project, I was thrilled. It’s a fun-filled film with great content and an amazing cast.

Tell us about your character in the film.
I play Poorva, an independent and practical girl. My character adds emotional depth to the story. The film is a romantic comedy, and my role is quite relatable.

What was it like working with Sri Vishnu?
He’s humble, supportive, and has brilliant comic timing. He improvises a lot on the spot, which made the scenes very dynamic. It was a great experience.

How was your bonding with co-star Ivana?
We share a couple of scenes onscreen but offscreen we became good friends. She’s a very positive and beautiful soul.

Your dance number in Robinhood went viral. Can we expect something similar in #Single?
No big dance number here, but it’s a well-packed entertainer with lots of laughs. You’ll have a great time throughout the movie.

What can you say about working with director Karthik Raju?
He’s a passionate filmmaker with a clear vision. He made sure everyone on set was comfortable and brought the film to life in a highly entertaining way.

Are you satisfied with your career journey so far?
Yes, I’m very grateful. I focus on working sincerely and celebrating my journey as an actress rather than worrying about the outcome.

Any dream roles you’d love to play?
I’d love to do a role like Rashmika Mandanna’s in her upcoming Geetha Arts film. I also admire strong performance-oriented roles like Sai Pallavi and Keerthy Suresh take on.

Was there any particularly challenging scene in the film?
Comedy is tough! The interval bang scene was quite a challenge. Matching Sri Vishnu's comic timing was not easy but rewarding.

What message do you want to give the audience?
Come watch #Single in theatres on May 9 with your families. It’s the romantic comedy of the year and will fill your summer with laughter and joy!
