A.M. Rathnam Discusses His Vision and Passion Behind Hari Hara Veera Mallu: An Exclusive Interview
What are your thoughts on the buzz surrounding Hari Hara Veera Mallu as the release date approaches?
A.M. Rathnam: The buzz is extremely exciting! We’re working on some special plans for our fans across the Telugu states. We're planning paid premieres and, once we receive the necessary permissions, we hope to announce 9:00 PM shows on July 23rd. It's a great opportunity for early fans to experience the film!
The film has taken quite some time to complete. Can you shed some light on that?
A.M. Rathnam: It’s true that the film took longer than expected, but it’s not about the number of shoot days. The scale and the period of the story required more effort to capture its essence. It’s a big and complex film, and that's what took time — not necessarily a delay in the shoot.
Is Hari Hara Veera Mallu based on a real historical figure?
A.M. Rathnam: No, Hari Hara Veera Mallu is not a biopic of any particular historical figure. It is a fictional story set against the backdrop of the 17th century. It’s a creative piece of historical fiction, not tied to any specific person’s life.
What do you hope the audience will take away from Hari Hara Veera Mallu once they see it?
A.M. Rathnam: I’m confident that after watching this movie, everyone will say the same thing: ‘Rathnam, you’ve made a fine film well done!’ That’s the kind of impact we believe this film will have. We hope it connects with audiences emotionally, while also delivering a grand cinematic experience.
How would you describe Hari Hara Veera Mallu in terms of its storytelling and scale?
A.M. Rathnam: Hari Hara Veera Mallu is a big film that blends grandeur, action, and emotion in equal measure. It’s a high-scale film with intense action sequences and a powerful narrative, all designed to leave the audience with a strong impression.
Can you tell us a bit about the team behind the film and what sets it apart?
A.M. Rathnam: The film is directed by Jyothi Krishna, and we have a fantastic team behind it. We’re lucky to have Pawan Kalyan in the titular role, alongside Nidhhi Agerwal. The music, composed by M.M. Keeravani, adds the perfect emotional and dramatic depth to the film. With a dedicated team and strong vision, I’m confident this will be a memorable cinematic experience for the audience.
