Exclusive Interview : Aditi Shankar Calls Bhairavam Her Dream Telugu Debut
Aditi: Director Vijay Kanakamedala watched my debut Tamil film and felt I was perfect for this role. He called and narrated the concept, and I instantly said yes.
What challenges did you face acting in your first Telugu film?
Aditi: Language was the biggest concern. But director Vijay and writer Sathya made everything easy and helped me throughout the shoot.
Tell us about your character in Bhairavam.
Aditi: I play a bold, honest, yet bubbly girl. Interestingly, the character is quite close to my own real-life personality.
How was your experience working with three lead actors?
Aditi: It was fun! Manoj sir already knew me. Sai garu and Rohith garu are down-to-earth and supportive. Since all of them speak Tamil, I felt very comfortable.
What is your favorite Telugu film?
Aditi: Magadheera. It was the first Telugu movie I watched in a theatre, and I became a fan of Rajamouli sir and Ram Charan garu right away.
How involved is your father, director Shankar, in your film career?
Aditi: He’s focused on his own work. I usually discuss everything with my mom. But yes, he watches my films he has no choice!
What kind of roles do you wish to explore in the future?
Aditi: I’d love to do historical and period films, and roles that challenge me emotionally and mentally. Women-centric roles really inspire me.
How was it working with producer K.K. Radhamohan and director Vijay Kanakamedala?
Aditi: Radhamohan sir was very involved and encouraging. Vijay sir is very clear and calm on set. He creates a great environment for actors.
