Exclusive: Makers Promise Vintage Chiranjeevi In Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu

Exclusive: Makers Promise Vintage Chiranjeevi In Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu

The censor was completed yesterday. How was the report?
We received a very positive report. Everyone enjoyed the film thoroughly. It is a clean movie with full family fun. The board clearly mentioned that it is a film that children and families can watch together.

Two big stars are coming together. What has been the response after the trailer release?
Fans of both stars are enjoying it a lot. The response on social media has been fantastic. Chiranjeevi garu and Venkatesh garu worked together very happily.

Sushmita garu, this is a big project. How was the experience?
This is a milestone project for us, and we feel honored to be part of it. Working in my father’s core genre and having Anil garu handle it so beautifully is superb. The journey with Sahu garu has been wonderful. I truly hope this combination continues.

Many fans say this reminds them of vintage Chiranjeevi. What do you think?
With this film, it feels like my father has opened a new talent box. Fans say it reminds them of Rowdy Alludu. While the vintage charm is there, his performance feels very fresh.

Chiranjeevi garu looks fitter than ever. Was there special preparation?
Yes, he focused a lot on fitness and weight reduction. He appeared with a new charm, which made costume design easier. Anil garu had a clear vision of how to present him, and my father also gave many inputs. We all worked with one common vision.

Many films are releasing during Sankranthi. Any theatre issues?
We have strong distributors. Our film has priority during Sankranthi. While losing one or two theatres is natural during the festival, we do not see any major issue for our film.

How will Venkatesh garu’s role be?
He will be seen in a very impactful role. Once he enters, the fun rises significantly. It is a rich character filled with entertainment.

How is Chiranjeevi garu’s character designed?
The trailer only shows a glimpse. His character has fun, action, emotion, and all commercial elements. The comedy scenes between Chiranjeevi garu and Venkatesh garu are outstanding. The trailer is just a sample—the film has much more to offer.

What kind of emotional connect does the film have?
Every scene brings a smile to the audience’s face. Along with comedy, the family emotions are very real and relatable.

When will Chiranjeevi garu actively join promotions?
Promotions are already happening at full speed. Anil garu is handling them extensively. Chiranjeevi garu is currently busy with post-production and dubbing, which will be completed soon. After the pre-release event, both Chiranjeevi garu and Venkatesh garu will actively participate in promotions.

Is there any special highlight in the film?
Yes, there is a special song where audiences will see vintage Chiranjeevi. We also had a great video call interaction with overseas audiences recently.

Who came up with the title?
It was Anil garu’s idea. He wanted the title to focus directly on the character and felt the original name was perfect.

Sushmita garu, what have you learned from Chiranjeevi garu?
If you have the desire to learn, you can learn something from him every day. I learned the importance of honesty and hard work once you commit to a project.

How is he off-screen and on set?
At home, he is very fun-loving. But once he steps on set, his entire focus is on the character. Even today, his preparation feels like that of a first-timer.

When will you do a film with your uncle?
I am waiting for that god-gifted opportunity. I have asked for it and am waiting in line (laughs).

How is Bheems’ music?
The music is fantastic. The songs are already big hits, and the background score is equally powerful.

How are the visuals?
Cinematographer Sameer Reddy has delivered stunning visuals. They look fantastic.

Any update on premieres?
Once ticket pricing clarity comes, we will announce premiere details.

Are you producing Anil Ravipudi’s next film as well?
Yes, we are.

Will there be a sequel to Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu?
No.

Finally, what kind of film is Mana Shankar Vara Prasad Garu?
It has comedy, action, and emotion. Everything audiences felt they missed from Chiranjeevi garu will be there. We all grew up watching his films, and that Chiranjeevi will be seen here. When Chiranjeevi garu and Anil Ravipudi garu come together, the level of entertainment is something audiences will truly enjoy.

All the best
Thank you

Disha, can you tell us about the challenging underwater scene you shot for Raja Shivaji? Disha Pardeshi: It was definitely one of the most challenging experiences I’ve had. When I first joined the film, I wasn’t told that I would have to do an underwater sequence for such long hours. I was simply asked if I could swim, but I had no idea the scene would be so intense. It wasn’t just about swimming; I had to perform underwater for nearly 12 hours without using an oxygen mask, which required a lot
