You’ve mentioned meditation played a key role during this shoot. How exactly did it help you?
Meditation helped me slow things down mentally. On a busy film set where everything moves fast, it gave me a few minutes of stillness. That small pause helped me reset my thoughts, reduce stress, and return to work with better clarity. It wasn’t about escaping pressure, but about handling it better.
What made this project more demanding compared to your earlier films?
The biggest difference was the dual responsibility. I was not only performing as an actor but also involved in production decisions. That means thinking creatively for my character while also thinking practically about scheduling, logistics, and execution. Balancing both roles was intense and required constant mental switching.
How did you manage emotional and physical fatigue during long shooting schedules?
Fatigue is inevitable in long schedules, especially when you're deeply involved in the project. I made it a point to take small breaks whenever possible. Even five to ten minutes of sitting quietly, breathing, or meditating helped reduce exhaustion. I also learned not to carry stress from one scene into the next.
Was meditation something you always practiced, or did you adopt it specifically for this film?
I was already familiar with meditation, but this project made it more consistent. Earlier it was occasional, but during this film it became a structured part of my daily routine. The pressure of handling multiple responsibilities made it more of a necessity than a choice.
Did this practice influence your performance as an actor on set?
Yes, it had a direct impact. When your mind is calmer, you become more present in the scene. That presence is very important in acting because it helps you react naturally instead of overthinking. I felt more grounded in emotionally intense scenes because my mind wasn’t cluttered.
How did you balance creative acting decisions with production responsibilities?
It was definitely challenging. As an actor, you focus on emotions and performance. As a producer, you think about time, budget, and coordination. I had to consciously separate the two roles at times. Meditation helped me avoid confusion between creative flow and practical decision-making.
Did you ever feel overwhelmed during the shoot?
There were moments of pressure, yes. Every film has its difficult days. But instead of letting it build up, I learned to step back briefly, breathe, and reset. That approach helped me avoid burnout and keep moving forward without losing focus.
What would you tell young actors dealing with stress on set?
I would say don’t ignore mental health. The industry is fast-paced and demanding, but your mind needs care just like your body. Even small habits like breathing exercises or meditation can make a big difference in how you handle pressure.
Has this experience changed how you approach future projects?
Definitely. I now understand the importance of mental discipline on set. I will carry forward the habit of mindfulness and structured breaks because it genuinely improves both performance and decision-making.
