Team India beat England to win U-19 Women's Cricket World Cup

The young-crop of Indian women's under 19 cricket team has made the nation proud by putting up a dominant performance in the recently held U-19 women's cricket world cup. Team India emerged victorious in the tournament and bought home the world cup, much to the delight of cricket fans across the country.

This is the inaugural edition of U-19 women's cricket world cup and India now stand as the winners of the maiden world cup which scripts history.

A brilliant new-ball performance was followed by a calm run-chase as India cruised to victory over England in the final, sealing their triumph with seven wickets in hand and six overs to spare, ICC.com wrote as they described India's emphatic victory as a thoroughly entertaining and deserving one.

The young girls are now flooded with praises from all quarters over their triumphant run at the world cup. The women in blue are now the world champions in U-19 category as they beat England by 6 wickets in the final.
