Kishkindhapuri First Weekend Box Office: Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas Horror Thriller Hits ₹10 Cr Gross
The Telugu horror thriller Kishkindhapuri, starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran, opened in cinemas on September 12, 2025, with positive buzz. Directed by Koushik Pegallapati, the film was backed by encouraging reviews from premieres, which helped it begin well at the box office. Over the first three days, Kishkindhapuri has shown a steady upward trend in collections despite strong competition from other releases.
By the end of its opening weekend, Kishkindhapuri has earned a worldwide share of ₹6.01 crore, with a gross of around ₹10 crore. In the Telugu states, the film collected ₹5.31 crore share, with Nizam contributing ₹2.38 crore, Ceded ₹0.45 crore, and the Andhra region ₹2.48 crore. Rest of India markets added ₹0.30 crore, while overseas contributed ₹0.40 crore, showing that the film is slowly gaining momentum outside its home market as well.
The film did a worldwide theatrical business of ₹10.5 crore and requires ₹11 crore to break even. While the positive word of mouth has helped stabilize collections, the strong dominance of Teja Sajja’s Mirai at the box office has impacted Kishkindhapuri’s opening numbers. Industry analysts believe that the movie’s break-even now hinges on its weekday performance, where consistent occupancies will be crucial to sustain momentum.
With a unique storyline blending horror and thriller elements, solid performances from Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran, and steady support from early audiences, Kishkindhapuri still has the potential to grow further in the coming days. The weekdays will now decide whether it turns into a safe venture or faces tough competition in the crowded release calendar.
