Indian Action Star Vidyut Jammwal’s Never-Seen Avatar In Hollywood’s Street Fighter

Indian action star Vidyut Jammwal is all set to make a powerful entry into Hollywood with the upcoming American martial-arts film Street Fighter. Directed by Kitao Sakurai, the film is a live-action adaptation of the globally popular video game franchise of the same name. The makers recently unveiled the first-look posters of the main cast, and Vidyut’s appearance has quickly become a major talking point among Indian and international audiences.

Vidyut Jammwal will be seen playing Dhalsim, one of the most iconic and beloved characters from the Street Fighter video game universe. For the role, Vidyut has gone completely bald, marking a dramatic transformation unlike anything he has done before. His intense and mystical look immediately caught attention and generated strong buzz online. Dhalsim is portrayed as a spiritual yogi with extraordinary telekinetic abilities and yoga-based powers, a character that was first introduced in the Street Fighter series back in 1994. Going by the first look, Vidyut appears to be a perfect casting choice for this complex and physically demanding role.

Often described as an underrated action hero in Indian cinema, Vidyut Jammwal’s Hollywood debut is seen as a well-deserved global recognition of his martial arts skills and screen presence. Fans are hopeful that Street Fighter will help him reach a wider international audience. The film also features an impressive ensemble cast including Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang, Roman Reigns, David Dastmalchian, Cody Rhodes, Andrew Schulz, Eric André, Curtis 50 Cent Jackson, and Jason Momoa. Street Fighter is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026, and expectations are already high for this action-packed entertainer.
