According to railway authorities, the Chennai Egmore–Kanyakumari Summer Special Superfast Express will depart from Chennai Egmore at 5.20 PM and reach Kanyakumari at 6.50 AM the next day. In the return direction, the Kanyakumari–Chennai Egmore Summer Special Superfast Express will leave Kanyakumari at 3.15 PM and arrive in Chennai Egmore at 4.55 AM the following morning. The trains will halt at several major stations across Tamil Nadu and Kerala to improve connectivity for passengers traveling to important destinations in the southern region. Railway officials stated that the special trains will operate on selected summer dates and will include sleeper class, AC coaches, and general compartments to accommodate different categories of passengers.
