KTR says KCR came from a landowning family
Addressing the media, KTR said KCR was born in 1954 into a landowning family in Chintamadaka. He argued that the family possessed agricultural land long before KCR entered politics and said records relating to their ancestral holdings were available with government authorities.
KTR maintained that the family’s present properties were legally acquired and disclosed through official declarations. His remarks were aimed at countering allegations that the family accumulated its assets through political influence.
KTR says family has no common Hyderabad residence
KTR said KCR currently stays at his farmhouse while he resides in Narsingi. He added that the family does not have one common house in Hyderabad where all members live together.
He cited this while rejecting suggestions that the family’s present financial position was solely connected to its years in political power.
KTR challenges Revanth to judicial probe
KTR challenged Revanth Reddy to agree to an investigation into the assets of both families by a sitting High Court or Supreme Court judge. He said his family was prepared to disclose property details and cooperate with such an inquiry.
He also sought a detailed discussion in the Telangana Assembly, saying BRS legislators were prepared to respond to allegations concerning their properties.
Erravelli land inquiry intensifies political dispute
Revanth Reddy has ordered officials to examine land surrounding KCR’s Erravelli farmhouse and determine its ownership and legal status. During the Assembly debate, he alleged that KCR’s extended family and relatives held around 439 acres across several districts, while also raising questions about land in the farmhouse area.
BRS leaders have rejected the accusations and called for an independent judicial inquiry. With an official probe now ordered and both sides presenting competing claims, the land dispute has become a major issue in Telangana’s current political debate.
