Pravasi Sampark NRI meet highlights Bank of India’s global banking focus

Bank of India’s Mumbai North Zone recently organised an NRI Meet titled “Pravasi Sampark” as part of its ongoing efforts to deepen engagement with Non-Resident Indian customers and better understand their evolving banking, investment, and remittance requirements. The initiative reflects the bank’s focus on strengthening long-term relationships with the global Indian diaspora by offering customer-centric and technology-driven financial solutions.

The event was attended by senior leadership of the bank, including Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rajneesh Karnatak, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Chief General Manager Prashant Thapliyal, Chief General Manager (Resource) Sunil Sharma, and Amit Ranjan Singh, Zonal Manager of Mumbai North Zone, highlighting the strategic importance the bank places on its NRI business segment.

The programme began with an inaugural and welcome address by Amit Ranjan Singh, who outlined the bank’s commitment to delivering reliable, secure, and world-class banking services to the NRI community. He emphasised the need for continuous engagement with overseas customers to align banking products with their financial aspirations and global lifestyles.

The meet saw enthusiastic participation from NRI customers, providing an interactive platform for direct dialogue with senior bank officials. Participants raised queries and shared feedback on a wide range of services, including NRE and NRO deposit schemes, remittance solutions, digital banking platforms, housing loans, and other specialised products designed for NRIs. Bank officials addressed these queries in detail, offering insights into recent enhancements and future initiatives aimed at improving customer convenience and service efficiency.

During the interaction, the bank’s leadership reaffirmed its commitment to offering seamless and secure banking experiences while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The discussions enabled the bank to gain valuable insights into customer expectations, reinforcing its approach to developing tailored solutions for overseas Indians.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Deputy Zonal Manager Ashawani Kumar Negi, who expressed appreciation to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, participants, and organising team for their contributions to the event’s success. The NRI Meet concluded on a cordial note with a musical programme followed by dinner, allowing participants to network and engage informally.
