The Telugu film industry witnessed a grand moment as Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, great-grandson of legendary actor and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, made a powerful entry into cinema. The film’s launch took place with grandeur and tradition at the sacred NTR Ghat in Hyderabad. This marks a new milestone for the iconic Nandamuri family, continuing their long-standing legacy in Telugu cinema.


The debut film is being directed by dynamic filmmaker YVS Chowdary and produced under the banner "New Talent Roars @ Production No. 1" by Yelamanchili Geetha. The muhurat event was attended by prominent figures from the Nandamuri and Daggubati families, including Smt. Nara Bhuvaneshwari, Smt. Daggubati Purandeswari, and Smt. Garapati Lokeshwari, who participated in the ceremonial launch rituals. Nara Bhuvaneshwari gave the first clap, Daggubati Purandeswari switched on the camera, and Garapati Lokeshwari directed the first honorary shot.


Actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is the son of the late Nandamuri Janakiram and grandson of Nandamuri Harikrishna. His entry into films has been awaited by fans and family alike, who believe he will carry forward the family’s cinematic legacy with dedication and talent. Veena Rao, a trained Kuchipudi dancer, is being introduced as the female lead in this film. During the event, family members and industry personalities expressed their heartfelt wishes. Nara Bhuvaneshwari shared her joy over another generation entering the film industry and expressed hope that Taraka Rama Rao would achieve the same fame and respect as his forefathers. Daggubati Purandeswari emphasized the importance of discipline and dedication in the arts and blessed the young actor, comparing his reverence for NTR to Lord Hanuman's devotion to Lord Rama.


Veteran filmmaker YVS Chowdary described NTR Ghat as a sacred place and said launching the film at this location felt like a spiritual experience. He acknowledged the responsibility of launching someone who bears the name NTR and committed to giving the audience a culturally rich and meaningful cinematic experience. Chowdary also mentioned that the story is deeply rooted in Telugu tradition and literature, which he believes will resonate with the audience. Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani has been signed on to provide the music, while lyrics are being penned by fellow Oscar-winner Chandrabose. Noted dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra is contributing powerful lines to the film, aiming to make the script emotionally impactful and narratively strong.


Other members of the Nandamuri family, including Nandamuri Mohan Krishna and Nandamuri Ramakrishna, spoke of their personal happiness and nostalgia. Mohan Krishna expressed pride in returning to the film world after 25 years to shoot a scene for his great-grandson. Ramakrishna noted that the launch at NTR Ghat was not just symbolic but emotional, reflecting the legacy, history, and pride of the Nandamuri clan. Producer Yelamanchili Geetha thanked all the dignitaries and the Nandamuri family for their blessings and confidence in the project. Heroine Veena Rao and the debutant actor also shared their gratitude and excitement, promising to work hard and deliver a memorable performance. The launch of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao marks not just the debut of a new actor but a continuation of a powerful cinematic legacy. With top-tier talent involved both in front of and behind the camera, the film is set to be a significant addition to Telugu cinema.
