Optimism around easing geopolitical tensions also helped improve risk appetite in the market. Expectations of stability in global energy prices added further support to equities.

Reliance Remains India’s Most Valued Company

Reliance Industries continued to hold the top position among India’s most valued companies. It was followed by HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, TCS, Bajaj Finance, Larsen & Toubro, Hindustan Unilever and LIC.

The strong performance of banking and financial stocks stood out during the week, with ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and SBI contributing significantly to the overall rise in market capitalisation.
