The figures cover applications processed from Saturday, November 15, 2025, through Tuesday, March 31, 2026. Canada processed nearly 17,000 visitor visa applications linked to the tournament during that period and approved 41% overall. India was the fourth-largest source of applications.

No special FIFA 2026 visa for fans

Canada is co-hosting the FIFA World Cup with the United States and Mexico and is scheduled to stage 13 matches in Toronto and Vancouver.

Canadian immigration officials have said there is no separate FIFA visa or special immigration pathway for fans. Travelers must use the standard visitor visa process or obtain an electronic travel authorization, depending on their nationality. They must also leave Canada when their authorized stay ends.

Officials warn against false visa promises

Officials have warned applicants not to trust agents or consultants who guarantee visa approval or promote World Cup travel as a route to employment or permanent residence.
