Shraddha Kapoor Opens Up About Insecurities, Fear of Flying, and Embracing Vulnerability

Shraddha Kapoor believes that feelings of insecurity and self-doubt are something everyone goes through from time to time. In her opinion, those who claim to be free of insecurity are simply not being honest, likely to avoid showing vulnerability. During a cover shoot for Cosmopolitan magazine, the actress opened up about some wellbeing tips and shared a few of her own personal fears. Reflecting on the topic of insecurities, Shraddha commented, "Anyone who says they have no insecurities is just not acknowledging them. It’s entirely human to feel vulnerable, and it’s healthier to accept these feelings rather than deny them."

She also mentioned that, like everyone else, there are days when she feels confident and other days when she doesn’t. One thing she absolutely cannot tolerate is being around people with a negative mindset. "I can't sit with pessimistic thinking for too long," she revealed. So, how does Shraddha handle things when they don’t go her way? She laughs it off and learns from the experience. To her, that’s what it means to be "fun, fearless, and fabulous." "I believe that accepting things as they are is the key to embracing these traits," she said. On days when she isn’t feeling her best, her dogs Shyloh and Small bring her comfort and peace.

Like many others, Shraddha also faces aerophobia, the fear of flying. She shared how this anxiety affects her when she has to board chartered planes for events. "I have a bit of a fear of flying, and sometimes, when I get off a chartered plane, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for being alive, doing what I love, and having my loved ones around me," she said.

Recalling her early days in Bollywood, Shraddha reflected on her debut in Teen Patti. She admitted to having a major breakdown during filming, to the point where she didn’t want to return to set. "I was just 20 or 21 at the time, and I didn’t really understand the film world since I had never worked as an assistant director," she explained.

When celebrities like Shraddha Kapoor openly discuss their fears and vulnerabilities, it helps dismantle the pressure to maintain a strong facade, for all the right reasons.
