Vijay Antony on Bhadra Kali: The Biggest Film of My Career – An Exclusive Interview

Vijay Antony on Bhadra Kali: The Biggest Film of My Career – An Exclusive Interview

What is Bhadra Kali about?
It’s a political thriller revolving around a political mediator caught in scams. Unlike regular films, politics is shown naturally and realistically.

Why did you choose this story?
Director Arun Prabhu brought an extraordinary script. This being my 25th film, I wanted something unique and big. It is the biggest movie of my career in terms of story and production scale.

Is there scope for music and songs?
Yes, there are four situational songs and an impactful background score that plays a crucial role.

How was it working with director Arun Prabhu?
I had already decided to work with him as I admire his earlier films. His narration impressed me, and this film is the biggest in terms of budget for both of us.

What roles do Trupti Ravindra and Riya play?
Trupti plays my wife, while Riya plays a police officer chasing me. Both roles add freshness and interest to the story.

How is your collaboration with Suresh Productions and Rana Daggubati?
They have always supported me unconditionally. This time too, the film will have a grand release in 300+ theaters.

How do you feel completing 25 films?
Very happy and grateful to audiences. I may not know if I have talent, but I believe in hard work and honesty towards cinema.

Do you face pressure handling acting, direction, and music?
Not much pressure, but time management is a challenge. Going forward, I’ll focus more on music as well.

What’s next after Bhadra Kali?
I’m working on Vanda Devullu with the director of Bichagadu, a large-scale bilingual project.

All the Best,
Thank You
