Exclusive Interview : Srinidhi Shetty Shares Her Journey in HIT 3 and Her Telugu Debut Experience

Can you tell us about your character in HIT 3?
I play Mridula in HIT 3. While Arjun Sarkar's character is intense and violent, Mridula is independent and layered. There’s a strong contrast between them, and my character has many interesting shades, which the audience will fully understand only while watching the film.

How important is your character to the story?
Usually, in investigative thrillers, heroines don’t have significant roles, but Sailesh Kolanu wrote Mridula very strongly. Just like HIT and HIT 2, here too, the heroine’s character is blended into the story and carries weight. You will realize how crucial it is when you watch the film.

How was your experience working with Nani?
It was wonderful working with Nani. I’ve seen all his movies, and he is a natural performer. He is very grounded and created a comfortable environment on set, which helped me perform better.

Is it true you dubbed for your character yourself in Telugu?
Yes, I dubbed for myself. Initially, a dubbing artist recorded the lines, but I requested the director to let me try. I am very happy that my first Telugu movie features my own voice. I worked hard to sound like a Telugu girl and not a Kannada speaker.

How do you feel about HIT 3 receiving an A certificate?
When I first heard the story, I knew it required intense violence and action. This genre demands it. Violence is integral to the world of HIT 3, just like KGF’s world was different but needed violence too.
As KGF’s famous dialogue says, "I don't like violence, but violence likes me!" (laughs)

How was it working with director Sailesh Kolanu?
It was my first time doing an investigative thriller action drama. Sailesh sir was extremely supportive, explained everything in detail, and had great planning. He taught me a lot on set. I sincerely wish him many more successes.

What are your thoughts on Mickey J Meyer's music in the film?
Mickey J Meyer delivered excellent music for this thriller. His background score is thrilling, and the songs have already become hits. "Prema Velluva" and the song sung by Anirudh were both very well received.

Tell us about the technical aspects of the film?
Cinematographer Sanu Varghese provided brilliant visuals. The entire technical team did a fantastic job. Technically, HIT 3 will be a top-notch film.

Are you part of KGF 3?
Whether or not I am in KGF 3 — you’ll have to wait and watch! (laughs)

Is it true you rejected the role of Sita in Ramayana?
No, there was a miscommunication. I gave an audition for the role of Sita, but I was not contacted afterward. It’s not true that I rejected the role. The makers finalized Sai Pallavi for the role, as I learned through media reports.

What are your upcoming projects?
I am currently working on a film titled Telusu Kada.

Any message to fans before HIT 3's release?
I hope audiences love HIT 3. It’s a thrilling experience, and I am very excited for everyone to watch it!
