It was a deep and layered role. I had to understand why my character made certain choices and really get into her emotional space.
Were you comfortable performing bold scenes in the show?
Yes, the scenes were not vulgar and were justified. We had intimacy workshops, clear communication, and an intimacy coordinator, which made the process safe and respectful.
Which crime thrillers do you personally enjoy?
I’m a fan of David Fincher's work, especially Gone Girl. I also loved Gupt in Hindi for its mix of suspense and thrill.
What medium do you enjoy more: theatre or camera?
Both are fulfilling. Theatre gives a continuous flow, while camera work is more segmented. Ultimately, it's about playing a character that challenges you.
How do you feel about auditions?
Auditions are tough. Often you're working with incomplete character briefs, and decisions can be very luck-based. It's nerve-wracking but part of the job.
How important is social media in an actor's career today?
Social media is your digital portfolio now. It helps you get noticed but can’t replace real talent. It simply adds visibility.
Tell us about your early life and how you got into acting.
I'm from Bhopal. My father introduced me to theatre when I shared my interest in acting. I moved to Mumbai in 2008, completed school, and started with commercials in 2019.
Was it hard to wait for your first big break?
Yes, but I’ve always believed in patience and perseverance. I stayed hopeful and kept working hard, trusting the timing of the universe.
How do you handle rejection in the industry?
Earlier, rejections used to shatter me. Over time, I learned not to take it personally. Rejection taught me resilience and made me stronger.
What advice would you give aspiring actors?
Believe in yourself, be consistent, and stay patient. Keep improving your craft and trust that your time will come.
