Satyadev Interview: Calls Underrated Label A Form Of Love

Satyadev Interview: Calls Underrated Label A Form Of Love

Why do people call you an underrated actor?
I think it comes from love. People feel I deserve more recognition for the work I’ve already done.

Do you feel the underrated tag bothers you?
Not really. If anything, it shows people are watching my work closely and expecting more from me.

How do you respond to that perception?
I just focus on doing better roles and letting my work speak rather than chasing labels.

What can audiences expect from Rao Bahadur?
It’s a very intense and unique character. I’m confident it will surprise viewers.

How important is this film for you?
Every film matters, but this one is special because of the character and the director’s vision.

How do you personally define success in your career?
For me, success is when I am satisfied with my performance and the audience connects with it emotionally.

What kind of roles excite you the most today?
Roles that challenge me mentally and emotionally. I like characters that are not predictable.

Has your approach to choosing films changed over time?
Yes, earlier I used to be open to everything. Now I focus more on scripts that have depth and impact.

What was your reaction when you first heard about Rao Bahadur?
I was instantly intrigued. It felt like a role I hadn’t done before.

How was your experience working with director Venkatesh Maha?
He has a very clear vision. He pushes you to go beyond your comfort zone as an actor.

What kind of preparation went into this role?
A lot of internal preparation. Understanding the character’s mindset was more important than physical changes.

What do you want people to take away from Rao Bahadur?
I want them to remember the character and the emotional journey, not just the story.
