Nandamuri Balakrishna is on a dream run, and music director Thaman is riding that wave right alongside him. With five back-to-back successes, the Balayya-Thaman combo has become one of the most bankable duos in Telugu cinema, and fans are ecstatic as their sixth collaboration NBK111 gears up for production.
The momentum began with Akhanda, where Thaman’s pulsating background score amplified Balayya’s on-screen intensity. Since then, projects like Veera Simha Reddy and Daaku Maharaaj have only solidified their synergy. Now, with NBK111, directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Vriddhi Cinemas (known for Peddhi starring Ram Charan), expectations are soaring.
While the team hasn't officially confirmed Thaman’s involvement, his recent interaction on X (formerly Twitter) wishing Balakrishna and Gopichand—met with Gopichand’s cryptic “Let’s rock”—strongly hints at the reunion. If true, NBK111 would mark a rare double hat-trick for a hero-composer pair.
Balakrishna just wrapped a major international schedule in Georgia for Akhanda 2, directed again by Boyapati Sreenu. As he returns to India to celebrate his birthday with fans and family, all eyes are now on the Akhanda 2 teaser, slated for release this evening.
Meanwhile, Thaman is also working on They Call Him OG, a much-hyped Pawan Kalyan project directed by Sujeeth. The first single, sung by Simbu, is reportedly on the way. For now, fans can revel in the thunderous energy this star-composer duo brings, with NBK111 expected to add yet another explosive chapter in their blockbuster saga.
