Biker is a sports drama set in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, centered around a former motocross racer, Sunil Narayan, who dreams of putting India on the global motocross map. He trains his son, Vikas Narayan, to fulfill that dream. Vikas, driven by his father’s ambition, becomes a skilled rider. However, after a dangerous accident, he walks away from the sport under pressure from his love interest. Malavika Nair, Brahmaji, Tulasi, and Atul Kulkarni perform well, though their roles are secondary to the central father-son dynamic.
Cinematography by J. Yuvraj is one of the film’s key strengths, capturing the thrilling motocross sequences with energy and clarity. Editing by Anil Pasala is decent, though some parts of the narrative could have been simplified. Production values are high, with solid visuals and polished action sequences that elevate the racing scenes.
Ghibran's music serves as a background score, enhancing several emotional sequences but not making much impact with individual songs. The soundtrack is not memorable, but the background score works well in the racing scenes and emotional moments.
The editing is competent, with the non-linear narrative keeping the film engaging. However, some segments feel unnecessarily complex, and could have been simplified to enhance the pace and emotional impact of the story.
Biker is a sincerely made sports drama, blending the excitement of motocross with the emotional depth of a father-son relationship. While the film’s technical execution and racing sequences shine, the predictable storyline and occasional lack of emotional depth limit its impact. The performances from Sharwanand and Rajasekhar are strong, but the writing could have been sharper to avoid clichés and add more emotional highs. The film succeeds in bringing something fresh to Telugu cinema, but it could have pushed the boundaries further with stronger writing and more intense emotional engagement.
