The Millennium Park Summer Film Series will once again transform Tuesday evenings into open-air cinema experiences, running from July 1 through August 19. Each screening starts at 6:30 p.m. and takes place under the stars at the Pavilion, with guests invited to bring blankets, chairs, and snacks. The 2025 schedule begins with the classic baseball film The Sandlot on July 1. Following that, audiences can enjoy a mix of fantasy, adventure, romance, and drama, with titles including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Love & Basketball, The Grand Budapest Hotel, My Best Friend’s Wedding, the new adaptation of Wicked, and the timeless period drama Pride and Prejudice. Each film adds its own flavor to the season, making for an exciting weekly tradition.
Live music takes center stage on Mondays and Thursdays throughout the summer, with concerts starting at 6:30 p.m. These performances, held at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, showcase a wide variety of musical styles from soul and funk to Latin rhythms and contemporary sounds. Guests can stretch out on the Great Lawn or take a seat in the Pavilion's bowl for an immersive musical experience. The 2025 lineup includes celebrated performers across genres, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Some of the featured artists bring retro soul vibes, while others explore global influences, instrumental innovation, and vibrant beats. The series closes with a performance honoring musical legacies and looking toward the future of sound.
The Summer Workout Series continues to be a community favorite, offering free fitness classes on most Saturday mornings through August 30. Held on the Great Lawn, these group sessions run from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and include pilates and yoga sessions with live music, followed by cardio kickboxing and Zumba. Participants are encouraged to bring their own mats and water bottles to stay hydrated and comfortable. The series is inclusive, with American Sign Language interpretation available upon request. Due to construction and overlapping activities, classes on June 7, July 12, July 19, August 23, and August 30 will be held at nearby Wrigley Square.
