Chaurya Paatham Will Entertain Everyone – Indra Ram in an Exclusive Interview
Tell us about your background and how your journey into acting began.
Indra Ram: I’m from Vijayawada and completed my engineering from Delhi University. Along with academics, I trained in gymnastics and dance. I’ve loved cinema since childhood and always wanted to be part of it. When I heard that Trinadha Rao Nakkina was launching a production house, I met him—and that’s how this film journey started.
What is Chaurya Paatham about, and how is it different?
Indra Ram: This is not a regular film. It’s inspired by a real-life bank heist, where a tunnel was dug from a nearby room into a bank. The story blends fact with fiction, making it both thrilling and entertaining. The plot itself is the real hero of the movie.
What kind of preparation went into this film?
Indra Ram: A lot of homework went into it. Since there was no direct reference, we had to visualize everything. Our art director Nagendra took great care in designing the tunnel sets. We even built a fictional village to make the world feel authentic.
Can you tell us about Rajeev Kanakala's role?
Indra Ram: Rajeev sir loved the story and plays a strong character. It’s been a pleasure to work with someone so experienced. He’s also involved in promoting the film, which is great support for us newcomers.
Did you act in any other films before this?
Indra Ram: I had a small role in Ram Gopal Varma’s Vangaveeti. I was also supposed to do RX 100, but things didn’t work out. I’ve worked with Ajay Bhupathi too. I’m open to lead and supporting roles—my goal is to grow as a strong actor.
What was it like working with Payal Radhakrishna?
Indra Ram: She speaks Telugu fluently, which helped a lot. She’s a good actress and her performance in the film will definitely impress the audience.
How was it working with debut director Nikhil Gollamari?
Indra Ram: Nikhil has a clear vision and executed everything with perfection. He planned each scene in detail. It was an absolute pleasure working with him.
Did the film receive support from industry celebrities?
Indra Ram: Yes, Vijay Sethupathi sir watched the trailer and suggested we release the film in Tamil too. He spoke to me for almost 30 minutes. We also received support from Naga Chaitanya, Varun Tej, and even from IPS officer Sajjannar’s interview insights.
What was producer Trinadha Rao Nakkina’s contribution like?
Indra Ram: He supported the film fully—no compromises anywhere. His passion was evident from day one. The film is being released by Asian Sunil garu after he loved the trailer content.
What are your expectations from Chaurya Paatham?
Indra Ram: Like films Court and Committee Kurrollu, which succeeded with new talent, I believe Chaurya Paatham will also become a success. The censor board appreciated the film, which has boosted our confidence even more.
